We are proud to announce that we have achieved Cyber Essentials certification! The certificate verifies that Netmatters was assessed as meeting the Cyber Essential implementation profile [BIS/14/696] and thus, that at the time of testing, our organisation’s ICT defences were assessed as satisfactory against commodity based cyber-attacks. This shows we are taking all the precautionary steps to ensure the security of our client’s information.

The Cyber Essentials scheme is a Government endorsed security standard which organisations can be assessed and certified against. It identifies the security controls that each company must have in place within their IT systems in order to have confidence that they are actively addressing cyber security and mitigating the risk from internet based users.

The majority of cyber-attacks exploit basic weaknesses in your IT systems and software. Cyber Essentials highlights areas where improvements could be made and once fixes have been implemented, provide certification that the company in question has adequate defences in place against aforementioned damaging cyber-attacks.

As an ever-expanding business, to receive certification for this is fantastic news and a pointer that our organisation is taking strides in the correct direction. We take cyber security very seriously here at Netmatters and this certification shows our willingness to resolve a problem before it arises.

What does this mean for you, our customers? You can rest assured that we are taking all necessary steps to avoid this sort of incident occurring and that we have a high regard for the online security of our customers. By gaining this certification, we are making it clear that we continually strive toward improving the protection of our systems and our clients’ data.
