We are looking for a Junior Telecoms Technician to join our accomplished Telecoms team here at Netmatters as we embark on many new projects and challenges as the department goes through continued growth.

What makes a Junior Telecoms Engineer?

A Junior Telecoms Engineer should demonstrate a strong work ethic, a passion to develop their career, and good customer service skills. You will be called upon to assist our experts in on-site installations, as well as assisting Netmatters customers through telephone support.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the skills required to flourish into a specialist within the vast Telecoms and Networking industry. As a department, we specialise in Telecoms and network architecture. As part of your career progression, training courses will be made available to you to ensure you can continue to learn and challenge yourself.

What you should bring 

  • A strong passion for Telecoms or Networking.
  • 1 years previous IT/Telecoms experience.
  • Strong work ethic towards learning new skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Proactive attitude and aptitude to learn
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Confident with customers.
  • Available for full-time training.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.

Some specifics of the role 

  • Supporting small and medium business Telecoms networks and systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of business-grade telecoms system both on-site and remotely
  • Administration of IP Phone systems (via web-based interface).
  • Assisting customers with broadband and leased line installs
  • Working with a diverse client base in different industry sectors
  • Taking on technical responsibilities helping to shape and develop clients' long-term Telecoms and Network Strategies.
  • Expose to different and new technologies tailored to clients' specific needs and requirements.
  • Opportunity to specialize in specific industry sectors helping to shape and develop the platform
