Netmatters recognised in the 2026 Princess Royal Training Awards

We are proud to share that we have been named a 2026 recipient of a Princess Royal Training Award, recognising the impact of our Scion Coalition Scheme and our continued commitment to creating career opportunities in tech.

This latest recognition is a fantastic achievement for our team, and for everyone who has helped shape, support and strengthen the Scion Scheme since it began. It reflects the real difference that focused training and development can make, not only for individuals building new careers, but for employers, communities and the wider technology sector too.

Recognised for supporting career opportunities in tech

The 2026 Princess Royal Training Awards celebrate organisations delivering exceptional learning, development and training initiatives. Our recognition highlights the success of the Scion Coalition Scheme, which supports unemployed and under-represented individuals in gaining the skills they need to become industry-ready developers.

Since launching the scheme in 2017, we have worked to build a sustainable talent pipeline that helps address skills shortages while opening the door to meaningful careers in technology. More than 200 people have now completed the programme, and it continues to play an important part in strengthening workforce capability across the region.

Building on previous success

This recognition continues a proud track record for our training initiatives. We previously received Princess Royal Training Awards in 2020 and 2023, and in 2025 our work through Scion was also recognised with a King's Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity.

These achievements reflect the consistent effort that goes into building training programmes that are practical, inclusive and outcomes-focused. We are passionate about developing talent, removing barriers to entry, and helping more people take their first steps into the digital industry.
