We're Gold! Netmatters Named a Net Zero Leader

Written by Erika Cole

We're delighted to share that we've been awarded Gold on the Norfolk Carbon Charter, the highest level available, following an independent assessment by the Charter Panel.

Recognised as a Net Zero Leader

The Norfolk Carbon Charter has three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Gold is reserved for organisations that exemplify best practice, showing significant and measurable reductions in carbon emissions while actively championing the environmental agenda. The Charter describes its Gold holders as Net Zero leaders, and it's a title we're proud to carry.

Unlike some accreditations, the Carbon Charter isn't awarded on the strength of an online form. Every member is visited and independently assessed by an environmental expert, so this recognition reflects a genuine, on-the-ground review of how we operate, not just what we say we do.

What is the Carbon Charter Award?

The Norfolk Carbon Charter is run by Suffolk County Council, with Groundwork East as delivery partner, supporting small and medium businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk on their journey to Net Zero. It's a scheme we've been part of for several years, having first reached Gold in 2021, and we're pleased to have retained it again this year.

For us, this isn't about a badge for the website. It's independent confirmation that the changes we've made, from our fleet and our energy supply to how we manage waste and support our people, are having a real, measurable effect. When you work with us, you're working with a partner that takes its environmental responsibility seriously and can prove it.
