Growing a Greener Future: Celebrating Planting 300 Trees in Our Ecologi Forest

Written by Erika Cole

At Netmatters, sustainability isn't just a policy, it's part of how we work every day. Every time a team member reaches a significant milestone, we plant 100 trees in their name which is a small but meaningful way of saying that the people who make our business great can also help make our planet a little greener.

We're thrilled to announce that three more members of Netmatters have achieved Legend status, and with it, 300 new trees have been planted through our ongoing partnership with Ecologi. Congratulations to Jake Tuley, Sam Driver, and Callum Laxon, each of whom has had 100 trees planted in their honour.

Our Newest Legends

Jake Tuley - 100 trees planted
Sam Driver - 100 trees planted
Callum Laxon - 100 trees planted

Reaching Legend status is no small feat, it represents exceptional dedication, hard work, and a genuine passion for delivering great results. For Netmatters, it felt only right to mark these achievements in a way that gives back to something bigger than all of us.

Our Environmental Commitment

Sustainability isn't a new conversation at Netmatters, it's been part of who we are from the very beginning. In 2021, we became carbon neutral and earned Carbon Charter Gold status, recognising our dedication to the environment, our employees, and our clients. That achievement didn't mark the end of our journey; it marked a foundation to build on.

Through our partnership with Ecologi, one of the UK's leading climate action platforms, we fund tree planting projects around the world, from the mangroves of Madagascar to the forests of East Africa. Every tree planted plays a role in sequestering carbon, restoring biodiversity, and supporting local communities.

Our green initiatives go further than offsetting too. Day to day, Netmatters operates with sustainability built into its culture:

  • Remote work options to reduce commuting emissions
  • Paper-free offices
  • A fully electric vehicle fleet
  • A car-sharing scheme for the team

Why It Matters

Trees are one of nature's most powerful tools in the fight against climate change. A single mature tree can absorb up to 22kg of CO₂ per year. With 300 trees planted this round alone, that's a meaningful contribution and with every new Legend at Netmatters, that number keeps growing.

Here's to Jake, Sam, and Callum, and to the many more milestones and trees still to come.
