Today, we proudly celebrate the incredible achievements of Aaron Cook, who marks his 5th work anniversary at Netmatters, officially joining the ranks of our ‘Legends’!
A Journey of Growth and Leadership
Aaron began his career at Netmatters as an IT Support Technician, where his technical knowledge and dependable nature quickly made an impression. Over the years, he has progressed through several key roles, including Lead Telecoms Engineer and Senior Telecoms Engineer, before stepping into his current position as Telecoms Technical Manager.
Throughout his time with us, Aaron has been a driving force in transforming our telecoms infrastructure and strategy, elevating the standards of service, resilience, and innovation.
Delivering High-Impact Projects
Aaron has led and supported numerous critical projects that have reshaped our internal systems and strengthened client operations:
- VoIP System Overhaul: Spearheaded the complete transition from legacy PBX systems to a modern VoIP platform, significantly enhancing call clarity, enabling remote work, and reducing operational costs.
- Unified Communications Deployment: Rolled out an integrated Microsoft Teams solution to streamline communication and improve collaboration across departments.
- Infrastructure Modernisation: Upgraded core LAN/WAN systems, boosted Wi-Fi coverage, and introduced VLAN segmentation - enhancing both performance and network security.
- Disaster Recovery & Redundancy: Designed and implemented robust failover systems to guarantee 99.99% telecoms uptime, supporting continuity during outages or unforeseen disruptions.
- Business Continuity Improvements: Introduced comprehensive backup and recovery protocols for telecoms systems, ensuring data integrity and long-term service resilience.
Aaron’s work has not only strengthened our technological backbone but has earned praise from colleagues and clients alike for both its quality and impact.

A huge congratulations to Aaron on this well-deserved recognition! As a token of our appreciation, Netmatters is delighted to present him with the Long Service Award and a special gift. In honour of this milestone, and in line with our sustainability mission, we’ve also planted 100 trees in our Ecologi Forest in Aaron’s name.
